The Cross the Moor Lowered

About this wallpaper

A fallen stone cross on a windswept moor, half-sunk in black peat, storm clouds massing above in slate layers, the moor stretching empty to every horizon, rain beginning to slant across the cross’s weathered arms, the stone’s carved face eroded past reading.

Built on deep black, dark slate blue, the image keeps its ruins mood through tonal depth rather than pure darkness. Light is used sparingly, which is what gives the composition its weight.

Designed as a phone background, it balances legibility and atmosphere: icons stay readable against the darker regions while the composition holds up at full brightness. Free download in full resolution.
