The Anvil Above the Mountain

About this wallpaper

A towering thunderhead mushrooming over a dark mountain massif, its anvil lit from within by hidden lightning flickers, black foothills drowned in shadow below, rain veils hanging beneath the cloud’s flat base, the mountain’s snowfields catching the storm’s electric glow.

Built on dark slate blue, deep black, the image keeps its storm mood through tonal depth rather than pure darkness. Light is used sparingly, which is what gives the composition its weight.

Designed as a phone background, it balances legibility and atmosphere: icons stay readable against the darker regions while the composition holds up at full brightness. Free download in full resolution.
