Behind the Wall of Rain

About this wallpaper

A black crag disappearing behind a solid wall of rain, water sheeting off overhangs in silver curtains, the rock face gleaming like wet obsidian where the rain strikes it, the downpour’s grey mass swallowing the crag’s upper reaches, rain exploding off every ledge in white spray.

Built on deep black, charcoal grey, the image keeps its mountains mood through tonal depth rather than pure darkness. Light is used sparingly, which is what gives the composition its weight.

Designed as a phone background, it balances legibility and atmosphere: icons stay readable against the darker regions while the composition holds up at full brightness. Free download in full resolution.
