White Fire in the Gully

About this wallpaper

A steep avalanche gully funneling a howling wind, spindrift streaming like white fire down the chute, black cliffs looming on either side of the gully’s throat, the wind’s scream made visible in the racing snow, the gully’s dark mouth exhaling mist onto the slope below.

Built on deep black, dark slate blue, the image keeps its mountains mood through tonal depth rather than pure darkness. Light is used sparingly, which is what gives the composition its weight.

Designed as a phone background, it balances legibility and atmosphere: icons stay readable against the darker regions while the composition holds up at full brightness. Free download in full resolution.
