The Moon's Twin Hounds

About this wallpaper

Moondogs flanking a hazy full moon, twin rainbow smudges in a cirrus veil, black pine tops along the bottom edge, snowfields glowing blue.

Built on dark slate blue, deep black, the image keeps its moonlight mood through tonal depth rather than pure darkness. Light is used sparingly, which is what gives the composition its weight.

Designed as a phone background, it balances legibility and atmosphere: icons stay readable against the darker regions while the composition holds up at full brightness. Free download in full resolution.
