The Iris Painted in Ink

About this wallpaper

An ink-black iris in extreme close-up, velvet falls marked with delicate gold veining, a bead of water trembling on one ruffled petal edge, the bloom’s dark throat disappearing into shadow, gold veins catching the only light in the frame’s velvet dark.

The floral feeling comes through in the color work: deep black, blended so transitions feel natural instead of posterized. Darkness here is a gradient, not a void.

On a phone screen the dark regions keep app labels crisp while the finer details emerge on closer inspection — the kind of wallpaper that doesn’t get old after a week. Free download in full resolution.
