The Door the Ivy Sealed

About this wallpaper

A crypt entrance sealed by centuries of ivy, stone steps descending into perfect blackness below the overgrown arch, a rusted iron ring on the half-buried door, the ivy’s dark leaves stirring in a cold breath from the depths, the steps’ edges worn concave by forgotten feet.

Built on deep black, the image keeps its ruins mood through tonal depth rather than pure darkness. Light is used sparingly, which is what gives the composition its weight.

Designed as a phone background, it balances legibility and atmosphere: icons stay readable against the darker regions while the composition holds up at full brightness. Free download in full resolution.
