Moon on the Dipper's Stream
The Bittern's Distant Boom
A misty fen at dusk, a bittern booming skyward among reeds, a harrier quartering the far dark. A fen desktop wallpaper in dark slate blue — free download.
About this wallpaper
Horizontal 16:9 desktop wallpaper, a misty fen at dusk, reedbeds stretching to a dark horizon, a bittern’s neck stretched skyward mid-boom, the sound visible as ripples, a marsh harrier quartering far off, cinematic wide composition.
The palette stays in dark slate blue, charcoal grey, midnight blue, layered so the eye moves from the darkest corners toward whatever faint light the scene allows. It reads as fen without tipping into flat black — there is always texture in the shadows.
As a desktop wallpaper it sits well behind icons and widgets — dark enough to keep text readable, detailed enough to reward a second look. Free download in full resolution.
