A Crack Full of Blue Fire

About this wallpaper

A narrow vertical fissure glowing brilliant cyan deep underground, the light bleeding onto rough dark walls on either side, the crack narrowing to a bright thread far above, absolute black pressing at its edges, faint mineral glitter in the cyan wash, cold vapor drifting through the light.

Built on deep black, dark slate blue, the image keeps its night mood through tonal depth rather than pure darkness. Light is used sparingly, which is what gives the composition its weight.

Designed as a phone background, it balances legibility and atmosphere: icons stay readable against the darker regions while the composition holds up at full brightness. Free download in full resolution.
